Manchester City has agreed a £30m plus add-ons transfer fee for Oleksandr Zinchenko with Arsenal. The personal terms have also been agreed between the 25-year-old and the Gunners for a 4-year contract, according to the Athletic.

Arsenal is set to schedule a medical test for the player and get the papers ready for signing the Ukrainian, according to Fabrizio Romano. Zinchenko will sign a 4-year deal that will be valid until June 2026.

Several other English clubs were also interested in signing the versatile left-back and midfielder Zinchenko. But the Ukrainian preferred to join Arsenal over Everton and reunited with the former Man City manager Mikel Arteta. The Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta had a massive influence to sign the player.

Mikel Arteta was interested in signing Argentine center-back Lisandro Martinez from Ajax. But the player has been signed by Manchester United already. However, Zinchenko is the second signing for Arsenal from Manchester City in the summer transfer window. Earlier, the Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus joined Arsenal from the English Champions. The striker has been in a great touch in the preseason games for Arsenal. He has scored three goals in two halves of football in preseason games.

Oleksandr Zinchenko would strengthen the Arsenal squad, understands Surprise Sports. This versatile Ukrainian can play as a midfielder as well as a left-back. Undoubtedly, he will be a regular starter under Mikel Arteta for the Gunners soon enough.

Oleksandr Zinchenko played as a left-back mostly for the Citizens. This versatile player assisted 4 goals in 15 appearances for Man City last season. However, he plays as a midfielder for Ukraine. The 25-year-old already has 29 caps for the Ukraine senior side. He scored 3 goals and provided another 5 in 29 appearances for Ukraine.

The Gunners have been busy in the summer transfer window. They already signed 5 new players with Zinchenko being the 5th.

They signed Matt Turner from New England for a £5.7m transfer fee and Brazilian teenager Marquinhos from Sao Paulo for £3m.

Fabio Vieira and Gabriel Jesus has been the big money transfer for the North Londom club. Fabio Vieira joined from FC Porto and signed a 4-year deal after Arsenal’s £31m bid accepted by the Portuguese giants. The Portuguese was involved in 20 league goals last season for Porto. The biggest signing for Arsenal this window has been Gabriel Jesus. Arsenal paid £45m transfer fee to land the Brazilian striker.

Arsenal finished 5th on the table in the EPL last season. They missed out on the Champions League spot after a hard fight with the Spurs in the dying Gameweeks. With the addition of Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus, the Gunners are becoming ready to go hot in the English Premier League 2022-2023.
