Paulo Dybala joined Juventus in 2015. He scored a total of 115 goals and assisted another 45 for Juventus in 293 appearances. Nicknamed La Joya (The Jewel), Dybala won Five Serie A titles and Four Coppas Italia. Moreover, he was selected the Serie A Most Valuable Player once and made to the Serie A team of the year four times. Dybala is Juventus’ 9th all-time leading scorer.
Paulo Dybala made his senior international debut for Argentina at the age of 21. He has earned 30 senior caps since and played alongside Lionel Messi. Dybala also played the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Dybala’s most recent international appearance was in June this year, when Argentina thrashed Italy by 3-0 goals at the Wembley in the Finalissima 2022. Dybala scored the final goal for Argentina.
If Dybala’s Roma career clicks well earlier in the 2022-2023 season, he will surely be in the Argentina roster for the World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
On the other hand, Dybala is the fourth signing for Roma in the summer transfer window, after GK Mile Svilar, former Man Utd midfielder Nemanja Matic, and right-back Zeki Celik. Matic and Svilar are also free transfers.
AS Roma finished 6th in the table in the Serie A last season. However, they won the UEFA Conference League beating Feyenoord in the final. English forward Tammy Abraham has been the main man in offense for Roma, scoring 26 goals in competitions last season. With Paulo Dybala in the side, AS Roma will be stronger in offense and push for the league title next season.
