Robert Griffin III

NFL star Robert Griffin III is out of the league since the 2020 league. He is currently working on an ESPN broadcasting project and Griffin is one of their most valuable analysts. Yet, after passing a successful year as a broadcaster, Griffin wants to return to the field and he is open to any call.

32 years quarterback Robert Griffin III was one of the most notable players in the NFL. He has made a hugely successful career in NFL. The season of 2012 was the best time in his career. He became spent a very successful time as a quarterback after he transitioned from college to NFL. Griffin ruled over the NFL back then with his stellar performance, skills, and knowledge. Every NFL club wanted to include him in their team and there was not a single game where his opponent passed a rough time for Griffin.

Griffin won the Rookie of the Year honors in 2012. He was then with Washington and led many victories for the team. The quarterback was the second overall pick in the 2012 draft. Before that, he won Heisman Trophy as a senior while playing college football at Baylor.

But things don’t always stay the same for anyone. Time changed and good moments passed from Griffin. A knee injury took away his empire from the nation’s capital. Griffin came to Baltimore in 2018 which was his last league. He stayed there for three years and made a pair of starts. He was operating as experienced insurance behind Joe Flacco and, later, Lamar Jackson.

After Baltimore waived Griffin from the league he joined the ESPN broadcasting network. ESPN won the bid for Griffin while Fox showed huge interest in him as well. He can carry on his new career with ESPN this season too.

Griffin said, “I still love to play, but right now I am just focused on doing the best as I can as a storyteller and giving back to football as much as I can.”

“It is something that has been natural for me. Now, I just feel like it is on me and the people around me to continue to hold me accountable to be the guy that I know that I am. To be a storyteller… I am trying to aid these guys and give back to the sport – not take away from it. It is not about me, it is about the guys that are playing.”

Robert Griffin III reveals his interest to return on the league:

Though, Griffin is having a good time with ESPN and improving his broadcasting ability every day he still wants to return to the field. And Griffin’s current contract with ESPN will allow him to do so.

Griffin is training every day to keep himself fit for return. His unofficial 4.48 40-yard dash at Rich Eisen’s charity event would make him one of the fastest NFL quarterbacks in the league right now.

Griffin said, “I am ready to go right now. I train every day.”

“If I get that call this year, next year, or five years from now I will be ready to play.”
