Bangladesh pacer Shoriful Islam expressed his joy for bowling in partnership with the Tiger speed star Taskin Ahmed, who guided them to success on many occasions.
On Monday, the 20-year-old paceman said he felt superb while bowling with his colleague Taskin Ahmed, which helped them end with positive notes.
‘It’s very good. Not only Taskin Bhai, but we also talk among all the pacers during practice, and we say that those who will get the chance to play will bowl in partnerships.
‘It’s a good thing that I have been able to strike a very good partnership with Taskin Bhai in the last few series. He talks very positively, which is very useful for a bowler, and when we talk positively, good results come,’ he added.
The left-arm pacer who was ruled out of the second and final Test against South Africa due to ankle strain has recovered meanwhile, but he has been suffering from a stomach complexity anew; therefore, he is likely to miss out on the upcoming two Tests against Sri Lanka.
The BCB has decided to send him to Singapore to provide him with better medication, which might cost him to rule out another series; however, that didn’t make him upset or dejected.
‘Last update is that we will go to Singapore on the 25th or 26th.’
‘It’s not disappointing in one sense since injuries don’t warn you when they are coming. It could have been a lot worse, and it’s a small injury, so it will be ok,’
Following an epic 2-1 win in the one-day series against South Africa, the touring Tigers have been clean swept in the two Tests by South Africa, which made the young lad downhearted, but he promised that they would be aiming to turn the table in the next encounter.
‘It was disappointing to lose the two Tests, but when we go there next time, we will perform better.’
