Zion Williamson

New Orleans Pelican’s winger doctors approved Zion Williamson’s unrestricted status for the offseason after sound imaging of the fifth metatarsal of his right foot showed improvement.

If he does not suffer any setbacks, this decision should allow Williamson to return to the game for next season after missing the entire 2021-2022 season.

There was a slim hope that the 284-pound six-foot, six-inch player could return to action for the first round of the playoffs against the Phoenix Suns.

Zion Williamson then played a few five-on-five exhibition games in April but failed to get back into form.

After winning the last chance tournament, the Pelicans dropped the flag in six games.

Williamson’s first pick of the 2019 auction was limited to 85 games in three seasons due to injuries. He played only 24 games as a rookie due to a right knee injury.

However, when he played, he was effective. He averaged 25.7 points, 7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game in his career.
