Time for Carson Wentz to step up
It’s not easy to make your regular-season debut against a top side like Seattle Seahawks, but Indianapolis Colts will expect quarterback Carson Wentz to come up with his A-game.
Speaking about him on condition of anonymity, a current NFL head coach recently said: “[Wentz’s] still a dangerous quarterback. If he doesn’t screw it up with forced mistakes and turnovers, then he is really tough to deal with for an entire game. He has a big arm, and he knows how to extend plays.”
One can never count Wentz out courtesy of his great physique and strength.
Adam Dedeaux worked with Wentz and other Seattle players off-season to get them to their best shape. He has worked with the QB earlier with the Eagles as well. Dedeaux has told Zack Hicks of Horseshoe Huddle that Wentz is mentally in a good spot.
“(He’s) motivated to change a narrative that has been out there about him and his ability. Mentally, just in a much better headspace. He’s confident in what he’s doing and confident where he is at. He’s in the headspace where he knows there are no excuses anymore and he is in a place where he can go and succeed now.”
The trainer added: “This was by far the most work and the hardest he’s worked with me. He has not backed off one minute. I’m having to make sure he is getting his breaks and getting his body right. I think he will have the opportunity to operate more efficiently this year.”
On the basis of home advantage, we can see the hosts, Indianapolis, winning this contest. This will help the Dolts set a great momentum that they can build on going forward in the season.
Colts coach Frank Reich seems to have a great relationship with his quarterback whereas this isn’t something we have seen in the Seattle camp. This factor also gives an edge to the Colts.
