Pan Continental Curling Championship 2022

Curling is one of the most popular indoor sports in Canada. And this year, a new Continental championship will enrich the sport’s reach. The first-ever Pan Continental Curling Championship 2022 starts on October 31.

The brand-new event will combine and replace the existing Pacific-Asia Curling Championship and the American Challenge. Additionally, it will serve as a qualifier for the upcoming 2023 World Curling Championship.

The Pan Continental Curling Championship will feature men’s and women’s disciplines. On the men’s side, eight teams of the A division are enlisted to participate in the upcoming event. While on the women’s side, nine teams of the A division will partake in the event.

The top four of the A division teams of the men’s side will qualify for the upcoming World Curling Championship. While the other four will be relegated back to the B division. From the women’s side, the top five teams will earn qualification for the upcoming World Women’s Curling Championship. While the rest of the four will be relegated to the B division as their male counterpart.

Pan Continental Curling Championship 2022 Schedule

The Pan Continental Curling Championship is scheduled to begin Tuesday, November 1, 2022. It will run for over two months, ending on January 8, 2022. This year’s event will return to the offline participation format for the grand finals.

The popular skating arena of Calgary, “Winsport Arena” will be hosting the inaugural edition of the Pan Continental Curling Championship. The venue is located in Alberta, Canada.
