All the teams will miss some star players due to injury. Italy will miss their left-handed goal-getter Gonzalo Echenique due to injury. Greece is missing their first-choice goalkeeper Emmanouil Zerdevas due to a left-hand injury.

Croatia will miss Ante Vukicevic because of health problems. On the other hand, Serbia will miss their two Olympic champions Nikola Jaksic and Djordje Lazic.
