The 2022 UCI BMX World Championship starts on July 26 at the Nantes. Here, you will know when, where, and how to watch the event.

Preview:

The competition has been held annually since 1996 (with the exception of the year 2020, when it was canceled due to the Covid-19 epidemic), and this year marks the third time in history that it has been held in France, following previous competitions in Vallet in 1999 and Paris in 2005.

A year ago, Niek Kimmann of the Netherlands and Bethany Shriever of Great Britain won the men’s and women’s gold medals, respectively, in the Olympic competition held in Papendal. These victories came just a few short weeks after the Olympic competition in Tokyo.

On the purpose-built track that is 450 meters in length and located at the Nantes Parc des Expositions, over 3,000 riders of world-class caliber will compete in front of 5,000 spectators from over 50 different countries.

The competition in the Championships class will be the primary event. There will be six different age groups represented, including Elite (aged 19 and beyond), U23 (aged 19-22), and Junior (aged 17 and 18), and these divisions will be split between men and women.
