Match Preview:
Zverev opened the Madrid Open with a tough win over Marin Cilic. His opponent, Lorenzo Musetti, retired in the second set due to a thigh injury. A 6-3, 7-5 quarterfinal win against Felix Auger-Aliassime set up a semifinal against Stefanos Tsitsipas.
He overcame the Greek in three sets to reach his third Madrid Open final. The World No. 3 became only the seventh guy to reach back-to-back singles finals. Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, and Dominic Thiem have all done it.
Alcaraz is having a fantastic season. The 19-year-old won the Miami Masters, beating Hubert Hurkacz and Casper Ruud in the semifinals and finals. The seventh-seeded Spaniard beat Nikoloz Basilashvili 6-3, 7-5 in the second round of the Madrid Open.
To go to the quarter-finals, he beat Cameron Norrie in two hours and 41 minutes. Alcaraz beat the King of Clay for the first time to meet World No. 1 Novak Djokovic in the semifinals.

Prediction:
As a result of his remarkable achievements against Nadal and Djokovic, Alcaraz will start the match as a small underdog to win. Zverev, on the other hand, will be a difficult challenge for the Spaniards.
The two-time champion of the Madrid Open has recovered well from his departure at the BMW Open and is in command of the tournament at the moment.
It will be necessary for Zverev to be aggressive from the outset in order to put pressure on the Spaniard, and he will try to use his big serve and backhand to inflict the most damage possible.
The German only had a 56 percent first-serve rate against Tsitsipas, and he will need to improve on that in order to advance to the final. Despite Zverev’s best efforts, the Spaniard should be able to slip by him and claim his fourth championship of the season.
Prediction: Carlos Alcaraz will win the match.
