Davis Cup 2022

We are just off the two-weeks long excitement of the US Open Grand Slam, and the Davis Cup 2022 is already here. The best male tennis players will represent their nations in the Davis Cup, starting on Tuesday, 13 September, and will continue throughout the month.

The competition will be played in a round-robin format with 16 teams in 4 groups, heading to the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals. This exciting tennis festival will be held across Europe – Group Stage in Bologna, Glasgow, Hamburg, Valencia, and heading to Malaga for the Knock-out stages.

The reigning champions, Russia, have been suspended due to their invasion of Ukraine. Great Britain and Canada have been wildcarded into the competition.

This year, the Davis Cup is headlined by the new world no. 1 and US Open 2022 Grand Slam champion Carlos Alcaraz. The 19-year-old will represent Spain alongside Canada, Serbia, and Korea in Group B.
