The Kazakhstani dropped her only set against Siegemund in the First Round (Round of 32). She cruised past Martincova and Tsurenko (walkover) before Ana Bogdan.

World no. 1 in doubles, Katerina Siniakova will be up for a WTA 250 women’s singles title when she faces Rybakina.

The Czech suffered a second-round exit against Alize Cornet in the US Open. However, she clinched the US Open Women’s Doubles.
