The eye of the tennis world is on the Laver Cup 2022, taking place from 23-25 Sept in London. We are down to Day 2 of the three-day competition as the fans await three singles and a doubles match between Team Europe and Team World on Saturday.
This year’s competition is already successful as the world witnessed legendary tennis star Roger Federer team up with his biggest rival Rafael Nadal in the last match of his career to play the doubles for Team Europe. The Laver Cup 2022 is already underway in London. The three-day tennis competition between Team Europe and Team World is taking place from 23-25 Sept. 2022.
The Competition is headlined by the biggest names in the sport, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic. The excitement goes beyond all limits as the 20-time Grand Slam winner, legendary Swiss star Roger Federer, hits the tennis court for the last time in his illustrious career. On top of that, Federer teamed up with his biggest rival, the 22-time Grand Slam winner Rafael Nadal, to represent Team Europe in doubles.

It was also the match of the tournament as the two legends of the modern game fought toe-to-toe against Team World’s Jack Sock (USA) and Frances Tiafoe (USA) for a 6-4, 6(2)-7, and 9-11 defeat.
Day 1 on Friday featured three Singles and a Doubles. Team Europe won two Singles and lost a Doubles and a Singles. The two teams are level on 2-2 points heading into Day 2.
Day 2 on Saturday will feature three Singles and a Doubles. Day Session will start at 1:00 pm BST with match 5, followed by match 6. Night Session will go underway at 7:00 pm BST with match 7, and match 8 will follow up.

Format
A total of 12 matches will be played between Team Europe and Team World.
- Day 1 (Friday, 23 Sept.) – Three Singles, One Double
- Day 2 (Saturday, 24 Sept.) – Three Singles, One Double
- Day 3 (Sunday, 25 Sept.) – Four Singles
It’s a 24 points competition. The team that gets to 13 points will be the champions. The Day 1 matches award 1 point each.
Day 2 matches award 2 points each, and the matches of Day 3 award 3 points each.
If the competition ties at 12-12 points, there will be the 13th match on Day 3. It will be a Doubles.

Both teams won two and lost two matches on the opening day of the Laver Cup 2022. So, Team Europe and Team World are on 2-2 points, heading into Day 2.
