World No. 1 and the reigning U.S. Open champion Iga Swiatek leads the star-studded field. The 21-year-old star will be gunning to add an incredible 8th title this season to her trophy cabinet.
However, the AGEL Open will miss world no. 2 Ons Jabeur as she is taking part in the Jasmin Open Monastir WTA 250 event on her home soil in Tunisia.
World No. 3 Paula Badosa, the defending champion Anett Kontaveit, and world no 7 Maria Sakkari complete the top 4 seeds. The top 4 seeds will get a First-Round bye.

WTA Ostrava Open 2022 Main Draw
Iga Swiatek (1) and Anett Kontaveit (3) anchor the top half of the draw and could face off in the semi-finals.
Swiatek will play her opener in the Second Round against Ajla Tomljanovic and could meet Haddad Maia (7) in the last 8.

Daria Kasatkina (5) will take on former U.S. Open Grand Slam winner Emma Raducanu in the First Round. The winner will face Azarenka or Alexandrova in the Second Round with Kontaveit looming in the last 8.
Alexandrova will face Victoria Azarenka in the First Round. After winning the Korea Open (WTA 250) in September, Alexandrova will try to add another.

Paula Badosa (2) and Maria Sakkari (4) anchor the bottom half of the draw and could meet in the last 4.
Badosa could play Kvitova in her opener in the Second Round. Ostapenko (8) and Elena Rybakina could be the Spaniard’s opponents in the quarter-finals.
Sakkari could meet Pliskova in the Second Round and Belinda Bencic (6) in the quarter-finals. Krejcikova is fresh off winning the Tallinn Open and could face Bencic in the Second Round.

The main draw of the Ostrava Open 2022 will begin on Monday, 3 Oct. Quarter-finals and semifinals will be held on Friday and Saturday, respectively. The tournament will wrap up with the women’s singles final on Sunday.
