Rio Open 2023

This Monday, ATP 500 is going to Rio for the 9th edition of the Rio Open 2023, presented by Claro. Here we have the Rio Open live coverage, streaming details, TV channels, schedule, and more.

Rio Open is a popular men’s professional tennis event. The ATP Tour 500 series event is played annually on outdoor clay courts. The upcoming 2023 tournament will be the 9th official iteration of the event.

Carlos Alcaraz is the first seed at Rio Open 2023. The Spanish professional is ranked 2nd in the ATP singles standing. He was a grand slam winner at the 2022 US Open. Unfortunately, Alcaraz decided to withdraw from the 2023 Australian Open for an injury to his right leg. Which demoted his ATP singles rank from 1st to 2nd after a 20-week streak.

British professional Cameron Norrie is the second seed this year. At present, he is the 11th rank holder in ATP singles. Norrie recently defeated the ATP 2nd ranked Rafael Nadal at the inaugural United Cup. He also participated in the Australian Open 2023 but was upset by Jiri Lehecka during 3rd round.

The 3rd seed of the upcoming Rio event is Lorenzo Musetti. This young Italian professional is ranked 20th in ATP singles worldwide. Reaching 18th position, he made his top-20 debut this January. Musetti won his career’s first two ATP titles last year at Hamburg European Open and Tennis Napoli Cup.
