Rafael Nadal, eliminated Thursday in the knockout stages of the Rome tournament of which he was the titleholder, is chipped his place of world No. Stefanos Tsitsipas, the finalist on the clay of the Foro Italico, ranked 4 in the new ATP rankings published on Monday.
Novak Djokovic, who could lose his place as world No. 1 in poor performance in the Italian Masters 1000, retained it after his demonstration in the final against Tsitsipas.
Another change affects the top-10: the Norwegian Casper Ruud, a semi-finalist in Rome, gains two places to climb from 10th to 8th place.
Having operated on his right hand at the end of March, Mario Berrettini now occupies the 10th position and is about to leave the top-10 that he has never left since he entered on October 28, 2019.
In the top-100, Cristian Garin made a good progression: the Chilean quarter-finalist in Rome climbed 9 places to 36th place.
