Specifically, her fan followers from Canada were really upset at an early moment. Cause this time, in Tokyo Olympic, Andreescu has a pretty good chance of winning, because she is now one of the top seeds of all time. After 2000, Canada didn’t win any gold medal in the tennis Olympics. Their eyes were focused on Andreescu this time, but she got reasoned to not engaging in the event.

Ever since, Andreescu was a little girl she dreamed of joining in the Olympic compilation, winning a medal for her country. Every athlete on earth carries that dream with them. The Olympics is the highest standard international tournament. It’s like the Nobel prize for sports. Winning a gold medal by representing own country is the highest pride a sportsman could ever get.

It’s a place where Captain Sports say “Avengers Assemble” and every sport gathered together under the same roof. Surely it was very hard for Andreescu not to enrolled herself in this world’s biggest event.

What she shared on social media?

Through social media Andreescu sorrow over the decision she had to make, it was such a difficult decision for her. She quoted on Instagram that “To all my amazing fans, I would like to inform you that I have made the very difficult decision to not play in the Tokyo Olympics later this month.”

She also added that “I have been dreaming of representing Canada at the Olympics since I was a little girl, but with all the challenges we are facing as it related to the (COVID-19) pandemic, I know deep in my heart, this is the right decision to make for myself. I look forward to representing Canada in future Fed Cup ties, and competing at the 2024 Olympics in Paris”

Bianca Andreescu is not the only one who is quitting Tokyo Olympic because of the horrible covid-19 situation. Many other celebrities will not participate in this cause of this outbreaking sickness (that includes all divisions celebrities, not just in the tennis section).

Stanislas Wawrinka, Rafael Nadal, Serena Wiliams, Simona Halep, and Dominic Thiem are also sacrificing their chance of playing in the Olympics and keeping them safe at home.

On the other hand, the world number one tennis star Novak Djokovic said that on Sunday he was 50/50 over playing in Tokyo, citing disappointment over the decision announced last week to bar spectators from the event.
