College Career
Stinson had a very successful collegiate golf career at Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas from 2005-2009. He was a four-time NAIA All-American at Wayland Baptist.
As a junior in 2008, he won the Grand Canyon Thunderbird Classic and set the Wayland 54-hole scoring record at 11-under 205.
Two of his most memorable shots were a double-eagle at Lubbock Country Club and a long drive on a par-4 in Colorado that impressed the schoolโs VP.
Stinson helped lead Wayland Baptist to a national runner-up finish in 2007, their best-ever team result at the time.
He was part of 9 tournament-winning teams during his 4 years, the most successful stretch in school history at that point.
In addition to his All-American honors, Stinson was an academic All-American his senior year in 2009.
Professional Career
Kevin Stinson turned professional in 2010 after a successful college career at Wayland Baptist University in Texas, where he was an NAIA All-American.
