Growing up in a modest family, Jaidee faced numerous challenges during his early years. From a young age, he worked various jobs, including as a caddy, to help support his family.

Thongchai Jaidee turned professional at 30, after serving as a paratrooper in the Royal Thai Army, Jaidee quickly established himself as a formidable player on the Asian Tour.
He won the Asian Tour Order of Merit three times—in 2001, 2004, and 2009—and became the first player to earn over $2 million, $3 million, $4 million, and $5 million in prize money on the tour.
Jaidee made history in 2004 by becoming the first Thai golfer to win on the European Tour with his victory at the Carlsberg Malaysian Open.
He excelled on the European circuit, securing 8 titles, including notable wins at the ISPS Handa Wales Open in 2012 and the Open de France in 2016.
