Yuka started playing golf when she was 6 years old after she saw an advertisement for golf lessons on television.

In 2002, when she was 7 years old, she joined Minami-Karase Golf Club, where she learned how to play golf under the guidance of her coach Masahiro Uchida, who is still working there as head professional today.
