Bradley Roby was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and grew up in Suwanee, Georgia, where he attended Peachtree Ridge High School.

Roby attended Ohio State University from 2010 to 2013. After redshirting the 2010 season as a true freshman, Roby started all 13 games at cornerback in 2011.
