Early Career
Baartman began his professional cricket career playing for South Western Districts in the 2014-15 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup.
In September 2018, he joined Northern Cape’s squad for the 2018 Africa T20 Cup. He later played for the Knights franchise, spending three years in Bloemfontein. However, the Knights opted not to renew his contract after the 2019-20 season.
Following his stint with the Knights, Baartman moved to the Dolphins franchise. In the 2021-22 season, Baartman was the leading bowler in the CSA Provincial T20 Cup with 11 wickets at an average of 10.09.
Baartman has also played for other domestic teams including South Western Districts, Northern Cape, and KwaZulu-Natal Coastal.
