Sepp Straka’s Biography

Early Career

Sepp Straka grew up in Vienna, Austria, with an Austrian golf architect father and an American mother. At 14, his family moved to Valdosta, Georgia, where he honed his game on southern fairways. He and his twin brother, Sam, both earned spots on the Austrian National Team before heading to the University of Georgia in 2011.

As a Bulldog, Straka played five seasons of college golf, earning a business management degree in 2016 and turning professional immediately after graduation. His steady work ethic and international perspective set the stage for his jump to the Korn Ferry Tour and eventually the PGA Tour in 2019.
