2024 NFL Season

The 2024 NFL Season is in full swing, but we’ve still got a good chunk of it to go (luckily). As you can probably imagine, many players are starting to show what they’re really made of.

So, we figured we would take the time to go through who we believe are the Quarterbacks you really should be keeping an eye out for throughout the rest of the 2024 season.

Patrick Mahomes – Kansas City Chiefs

Many pundits are putting Patrick Mahomes down as their ultimate quarterback. He is one of those rare Quarterbacks who can win games alone. He showed that during the Super Bowl…three times.

He is one of only a few Quarterbacks in the game right now who you can feel confident knowing that in 20 years, people will still be speaking his name.

A lot of people are gambling on Patrick Mahomes games, just because they are so exciting to watch. Plus, you know Mahomes will do something special.

Lamar Jackson – Baltimore Ravens

While Lamar Jackson has been good the last couple of years, we don’t think he has hit his stride. He is one of only a few players to pick up multiple MVP awards, but we still don’t think he has quite been where he should be the last few seasons.

That will change in 2024. He is constantly beating his career highs and, just like Mahomes, we can see him going down in history as one of the best Quarterbacks ever.

Josh Allen – Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen has been taking a bit of a backseat for the Buffalo Bills for a while. Stefon Diggs was their go-to man. However, now Diggs is in Houston, it is up to Josh Allen to step up to the metaphorical plate, and we think he can do it. At the tail end of the last season, we saw some major flashes of brilliance from Josh Allen.

He is a very offensive player, which is exactly what the Buffalo Bills are after right now. He is also tremendous when it comes to creativity. He knows how to play around with a play on the fly, and we have seen him help his team out in situations where other quarterbacks might struggle.

We are not going to say that Josh Allen is the best player in the NFL, because he isn’t. However, he really is a true joy to watch when he is in the field, and it looks like the Buffalo Bills will be built up around his offensive style. It’ll be interesting to see what happens from here on out.

Joe Burrow – Cincinnati Bengals

Last year, we probably would have put Joe much higher up the list. However, as any follower of the Cincinnati Bengals knows, he does struggle a bit with injuries. At his best, Joe is an absolute powerhouse that will decimate the rest of the field. He was a leading quarterback in 2021 and today has one of the largest NFL contracts.

Still, he does have those injuries to contend with, and if they keep rearing their ugly head then the Cincinnati Bengals will struggle this season. They’ve built their team around Joe Burrow. On the other hand, if he is in the field, then you need to tune in. Watch his passing and completion rate, it’s sublime.

Dak Prescott – Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys have been playing awfully for a while. Their one ray of sunshine, and the only player who seems to be more than above average, is Dak Prescott. He does not quite get the credit that he deserves, though. Trust us, if Dak Prescott wasn’t in the team, the Cowboys would be doing a whole lot worse.

The positive thing for the Cowboys is that they have a fantastic offensive player here. If they are willing to dip into their pockets and give the rest of the team an upgrade, they could be competitive. Just don’t expect any of the current teams to make their all-time greatest players list anytime soon.

Matthew Stafford – Los Angeles Rams

In the latter part of his 30s, Matthew Stafford does seem like he would be getting a bit long in the tooth now. However, he does seem to be fantastic still. While he probably isn’t going to be the player he was a few years ago, his throw is one of the best in the league, and he is a dab hand at scoring some touchdowns.

If your team is facing the Los Angeles Rams, then it can quite rightfully be scary thanks to Matthew Stafford. If you’re a Rams fan, then you’ve got a heck of a quarterback to enjoy.

Conclusion

As we said at the start, we are still at the beginning of the season, things can change quickly in the future.  However, keep an eye on the players we have listed here. As long as there is no injury crisis for any of them, we reckon many of these names will end up having the best stats as the 2024 season comes to a close next year.
