About Zizou Bergs
Zizou Bergs was born on 3 June 1999 in Lommel, Belgium. He first played tennis when he was four years old.
His father, Koen Bergs, who played football for fun and was known as “Zizou” after the great French midfielder Zinedine Zidane, was his teacher.
Bergs later trained at the Kim Clijsters Academy, and now he is taught by Ruben Bemelmans, a former Belgian player.

Bergs grew up in the Belgian city of Neerpelt. He went to high school at Sint-Hubertuscollege. He was a good junior player, and in 2017 he reached his best ITF junior level of No. 15.
He won two ITF junior singles titles and three junior doubles titles. He also made it to the rounds of the boys’ singles event at the 2017 Australian Open. In 2016, he also played for Belgium in the Junior Davis Cup.
Career
Bergs went pro in 2018 and mostly played on the ITF Futures circuit, where he won six singles titles and one doubles title.
