Puoch won't be available for the Fire's final game of the 2026 campaign, marking just her second absence of the season. Without Puoch in the mix, Frieda Buhner and Amy Okonkwo could see more action.

It's an unfortunate turn of events for Sutton, who was also cut loose by the Fire earlier this year. Aziaha James should pick up a few extra minutes off the bench in the Dallas backcourt for the remainder of the season.

Barker was helped to the locker room in the first quarter of Wednesday's loss to the Wings, and she's now been diagnosed with a season-ending injury. The second-year guard took on a significant role for the Fire after the club selected her in the 2026 WNBA Expansion Draft. Across 26 regular-season games (15 starts), the 24-year-old averaged 10.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 0.9 steals in 24.7 minutes per contest. Karlie Samuelson, Teja Oblak and Nyadiew Puoch are candidates for increased playing time in Barker's stead.

Oblak will end the season on the inactive list for a fourth consecutive game due to a left knee injury. The 35-year-old guard made her WNBA debut this year and will finish the 2026 campaign with averages of 5.6 points, 3.2 assists, 1.6 rebounds, 0.8 triples and 0.7 steals while shooting 36.7 percent from downtown across 13.4 minutes per game in 29 regular-season appearances (one start).

Geiselsoder will represent Germany at the 2026 FIBA Women's World Cup, and since she's been out of the rotation for a while, she's leaving early for preparation and won't return this season. She ends the season with averages of 4.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists across 16.6 minutes per game in 21 appearances (nine starts).

Winterburn will be held out of Portland's season finale due to a back injury, and she'll finish the 2026 campaign having averaged 4.0 points, 1.8 assists and 1.4 rebounds across 11.2 minutes per game in 29 regular-season appearances (one start). She began the season on a developmental deal before being converted to a standard contract, and the 25-year-old guard is set to be an unrestricted free agent this season.

Feagin agreed to a developmental contract with Portland on June 24 after spending time in Los Angeles. After appearing in 16 regular-season games for the Sparks in 2025, the 23-year-old played in only three regular-season contests in 2026, logging a combined 10 minutes. Feagin had yet to make her debut with the Fire, though that will now need to wait, assuming Portland keeps her on the roster moving ahead.
