André Morgan Rami Ayew, commonly known as Dede Ayew in Ghana, was born on December 17, 1989.

He is a professional football player from Ghana who now plays on the left wing for Premier League team Nottingham Forest and serves as captain of the Ghanaian national team.

He has two brothers who are also professional players, Ibrahim and Jordan, and he is the second child of three-time African Footballer of the Year and FIFA 100 member Abedi “Pele” Ayew.

Early Life

Ayew’s father played at 1860 München, where he started his career. Ayew began playing at 10 for Nania in Accra, Ghana, where his father serves as club chairman.

At the age of 14, he was promoted to the team’s senior squad after spending four years honing his craft at the club’s junior program.

Al Sadd SC of the Qatar Stars League announced that they had agreed to sign Ayew on a free transfer on July 21, 2021. The following morning, he was scheduled to be in Doha to finish the formalities, sign the deal, and make the announcement. 

After he had signed a two-year contract with an option for another year, the club made the announcement of his transfer and made him public on July 22.

According to reports, he would make about $220,000 per month. 39 years after his father Abedi Pele signed with the team and began playing for them in 1983, he became a member.

The Black Stars’ current captain is Ayew. Ayew was included in Ghana’s final 28-man roster for the postponed 2021 Africa Cup of Nations on January 3, 2022.
