About Boualem Khoukhi
Boualem Khoukhi, a professional football player for Al Sadd in the Qatar Stars League, was born on July 9, 1990. He is a naturalized Qatari national who was born in Algeria.
Khoukhi scored another brace in the 2014 WAFF Championship final, defeating Jordan 2-0.
This would push his total to six goals, making him the tournament’s leading scorer and earning praise from the Qatar Football Association as one of the team’s prospective key players for the 2015 AFC Asian Cup.
Early Life
Khoukhi, a purely JSM Chéraga junior product, made his senior squad debut in the 2009–10 campaign. He had a difficult first season, but once Farid Zemiti was hired as the team’s head coach, his career quickly recovered.
He was incorporated into the first squad and began to play with future Algerian international Islam Slimani. Numerous Algerian teams, including USM El Harrach, were said to be interested in Khoukhi’s talents.
Al Shamal in Qatar shortly made him an offer, which he quickly accepted.
Uli Stielike, the head coach of Al Arabi, thought Khoukhi had great potential after the player arrived in Qatar, and he granted him a tryout. After agreeing to the trial, a contract offer was made to him shortly after.
Career
Khoukhi’s initial arrival in November 2009 led to him quickly earning a starting position with Al Arabi’s first squad.

Al-Gharafa reported in July 2019 that they had signed him to a four-year contract, however, Al Sadd rejected the move.
On November 13, 2013, fellow countryman Djamel Belmadi called him up to the Qatar B team despite his call-up to Algeria’s Olympic team.[9] When asked about Khoukhi’s selection for the team, Belmadi responded that Khoukhi had become a citizen before being called up so that his team, Al Arabi, could exceed the foreign player quota.
