His father is country music songwriter Casey Beathard, his brother is country music singer Tucker Beathard, and his grandfather is Bobby Beathard, a former NFL executive and Pro Football Hall of Famer.
Tragically, Beathard’s younger brother, Clay, was fatally stabbed outside of a bar in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2019.
College Career
During his college career at Iowa, Beathard showed promise as a quarterback. In the 2013 season, he appeared in five games for the Hawkeyes, making his collegiate debut against Western Michigan.
He had a 54-yard completion and four rushes for 30 yards in this game. His first career collegiate touchdown came on a five-yard rush against Purdue.
