About Kim Joo-Hyung
Kim is the son of professional South Korean golfer, Kim Chang-ik. He was a regular player on the Buy.com Tour and later became a teaching professional. During the early stage of his career, Kim mostly played in Australia, the Philippines, and Thailand.
Kim turned professional in 2018. That year, he started participating in various tournaments of the Philippine Golf Tour. The following year, he mostly participated in Asian Development Tour. He had two fourth-place finishes in Malaysia and two runners-up finish in Thailand that year. Additionally, he won his career first event at the PGM ADT championship.
In November 2019, Kim Joo-Hyung won the Panasonic Open India and became the second youngest professional to win an Asian Tour event. He earned an entry to the 2020 Open Championship by placing fourth in the SMBC Singapore Open.
Recently Kim won the Singapore International 2022, by defeating Rattanon Wannasrichan in a playoff. He finished the season as the leading money winner of the Asian Tour. At the 2022 Open Championship, Kim placed T47. Following that, he placed 7th at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, which got him an entry to the PGA Tour 2022-23 season.
