He was born on 24 June 1996 in Zurich, Switzerland. In addition to attending the Swiss Tennis Academy in Biel, Huesler attended the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy in France after graduation.

Career

In 2017, Huesler made his ATP main-draw debut in doubles at the Swiss Indoors tournament. He received a wildcard into the tournament and partnered with former world No. 1 Nenad Zimonjić.

The pair defeated Adrian Mannarino and Benoît Paire, giving Huesler a win in his first tour-level match. They lost in the quarterfinals to Marcus Daniell and Dominic Inglot.

During the Winnipeg Challenger in 2018, Huesler won his first ATP Challenger Tour doubles title with Sem Verbeek.

In just over a week’s time, Huesler made his ATP main draw debut at the Swiss Open Gstaad, where he defeated former top-10 player Nicolás Almagro in a third-set tiebreaker in the first round before losing to Facundo Bagnis in the second round.

He won his first Challenger singles title at the San Luis Open Challenger Tour in 2019, beating Adrian Menendez-Maceiras 7–5, 7–6 in the final. On 22 April, Huesler climbed 70 places into the top 300 at world no. 281.

In 2020, Huesler made it to the semifinals of the Austrian Open Kitzbühel. In the second round, he beat the No. 12 player in the world, Fabio Fognini. So, on November 9, 2020, he became the 149th-best player in the world.

At the Swiss Open Gstaad in 2021, he won his first ATP doubles title with Dominic Stricker, defeating Szymon Walków and Jan Zielinski from Poland.

In 2022, he reached the Qatar ExxonMobil Open final for the first time as a singles player. It was still an impressive achievement for him, even though he lost in three sets to Andrey Rublev.

On February 13, 2023, he reached the world ranking of 47 for the first time in his career.
