Cooper Harvey wearing North Melbourne’s blue and white guernsey

North Melbourne has delisted Cooper Harvey, Zac Fisher and Luke Urquhart as it continues reshaping its playing list following the trade period and ahead of November’s drafts.

Fisher’s departure comes despite a year remaining on his contract, while Harvey leaves after four seasons and Urquhart exits without having made a senior appearance for the Kangaroos.

In its official list update, North Melbourne confirmed that all three would depart. Football general manager Todd Viney thanked them for their commitment and wished them well.

The club said cutting Fisher would open a list position for the draft and recruitment period. It did not announce a replacement for any of the departing players.

Fisher joined from Carlton ahead of the 2024 season and played 26 games across three years at North Melbourne. Only one of those senior appearances came in 2026.

Harvey arrived from the Northern Knights as a father-son selection at pick No. 56 in the 2022 draft. He debuted in Round 17 of the following season.

His North Melbourne career ends at 17 games. Urquhart, selected at pick No. 57 in 2024 from East Fremantle, missed much of 2026 with a knee injury.

Harvey’s delisting follows the one-year extension he earned after a productive finish to 2025. That agreement had kept him at Arden Street through the end of this season.

In its earlier contract announcement, the club highlighted 10 goals across his final seven games of 2025. His four-goal performance against Melbourne in Round 19 was a career best.

At the time, North’s football talent chief Brady Rawlings praised Harvey’s goal sense and versatility. The latest decision ends that stint rather than extending it into another season.

AFL.com.au reported that Harvey played seven senior matches this year. His departure adds to an offseason already featuring several delistings and two outgoing trades for the Kangaroos.

Callum Coleman-Jones, Brayden George, Robert Hansen jnr and Bailey Scott had also been delisted. Zane Duursma moved to Melbourne during the trade period, while Josh Goater joined Hawthorn.

7NEWS noted that Fisher had played 107 games for Carlton before crossing to North. He made 18 appearances in his first Kangaroos season, followed by seven in 2025.

The three latest departures therefore represent different stages of development: an experienced recruit, a father-son forward with senior exposure and a young midfielder whose opportunities were limited by injury.

North Melbourne now has further list space before the drafts. The announcement confirms the three departures, but does not establish where those players will play next.
