Early Career
Antonio Trócoli started his professional fighting journey in his home country of Brazil in 2013. He quickly built a strong reputation in the local scenes. He fought in various promotions like Imperium MMA Pro and Jungle Fight.
His large size for the weight class gave him a big advantage over many opponents. He won most of his early fights by using his long reach and submission skills.
He earned a shot at the big leagues in 2019 during Dana White’s Contender Series. He fought Kenneth Bergh and originally won the match. However, the result later changed to a No Contest because he failed a drug test for a banned substance.
This setback forced him to leave the major spotlight for several years. He kept training and waiting for another chance to prove himself on the world stage.
Professional Career
Trócoli finally made his official UFC debut in June 2024 on very short notice. He stepped in to fight the dangerous striker Shara Magomedov in Saudi Arabia.
Trócoli tried to use his grappling but lost the fight by knockout in the third round. It was a tough start, but he showed he was willing to fight anyone, anywhere.
He returned to the cage in November 2024 to face Tresean Gore at a UFC Fight Night event. The fight ended quickly as Gore submitted Trócoli with a guillotine choke in the first round. Despite these losses, Trócoli made headlines outside the cage.
He entered the World Series of Poker in 2024 and finished in 6th place, winning over $122,000. This poker win was actually bigger than his fight paychecks for the entire year.
