Daniel Dubois is a British professional boxer who held the WBA interim heavyweight title from June to August 2021. This article contains details about his net worth, salary, relationship life, etc.

Amateur Career:

Daniel’s boxing career was initiated at 9 with his father’s help. He trained at the Peacock Gym in Canning Town. As a result, he made his amateur debut in 2012 when he was only 15. There he had around 75 bouts. He was a five-time national junior titlist and British champion as an amateur.

Professional Career:

The young boxer then canceled his 2020 Tokyo Olympics participation plan for turning professional. His first professional bout was a spectacular first-round KO win against Marcus Kelly in 2017. He won the WBC Youth Heavyweight title in July following two more wins. Only after a month did he win the Southern Area Heavyweight title.

The Brit boxer’s first big title win was the British Heavyweight against Nathan Gorman. Boxing journalist said he “…fought like an old, seasoned bruiser, his feet flawless, his jab a stiff weapon inherited from relics of the ring”. In September of the same year, he won both the Commonwealth and WBO International heavyweight titles in a match against Ebenezer Tetteh.

From that point, he began rising in ranks. Unfortunately, Dubois faced a crushing defeat on November 28, 2020, in his first defense of British and Commonwealth titles, alongside his WBC Silver and WBO International titles. With Joyce’s superior space management and accurate jabs, he made Dubois suffer from broken left orbital bone and nerve damage around the eye and took the win with numerous titles.

Despite that, Dubois made a quick comeback only after 7 months. In his comeback bout against Joe Cusumano, Dubois packed the match only in the 2nd round with a KO winning him the WBA Interim Heavyweight title. The boxer is getting ready to snatch WBA (Regular) heavyweight title from Trevor “Dream” Bryan. The bout is expected to be held on 11 June 2022.
