If you want to talk about Spanish NBA players, then there is only one starting point. And that is Pau Gasol. He is the first name that should come to your mind unless you do not follow the NBA regularly. He showed great skill and performance in Spain, and his name spread up to the United States.

Gasol won three Liga ACB championships before getting drafted into the NBA. He was the third overall pick in the 2001 draft. You can see how much confidence selectors have in him. The seven ft. tall giant was versatile, quick, and highly skillful.

About Marc Gasol

You can guess from the name that Marc Gasol comes from the same family as Pau Gasol. The junior Gasol was no less great on the field than his elder brother. He joined the NBA in 2007 when the  Los Angeles Lakers drafted him in the second round of the 2007 draft.

However, Marc did not get to play for the Lakers. Instead, he was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies. The junior Gasol was determined not to be overshadowed by his brother and wanted to make his own name, and he did that.
