Alexander Volkanovski faces unbeaten challenger Movsar Evloev at UFC 333 on October 24, with two championship fights scheduled at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.

Forbes’ fight-week preview, carried by Yahoo Sports, puts the featherweight title bout atop a card also featuring Petr Yan against Merab Dvalishvili.

The preview by Forbes contributor Trent Reinsmith frames the main event around Volkanovski’s second championship reign and Evloev’s first opportunity to claim UFC gold.

Volkanovski enters with a 28-4 professional record. He regained the vacant featherweight championship against Diego Lopes in April 2025 and beat Lopes again in February 2026.

That makes Evloev a different challenge after consecutive meetings with Lopes. The Russian contender brings a 20-0 professional record and 10 victories in 10 UFC appearances.

The UFC’s official matchup preview highlights how Evloev changed approach against Lerone Murphy in March, moving from early striking exchanges to sustained wrestling.

Over the final three rounds of that fight, Evloev completed nine of 10 takedown attempts, according to the promotion’s preview.

That provides a concrete tactical question for the title fight: whether Volkanovski can prevent the challenger from establishing the same late-round control.

Evloev’s UFC victories have all come by decision. His unbeaten run therefore reflects repeated success across full fights rather than a string of quick finishes.

The bantamweight co-main event carries a different kind of history. Yan and Dvalishvili have each beaten the other once, leaving their third meeting to settle the series.

Yan, whose professional record stands at 20-5, regained the championship by beating Dvalishvili at UFC 323. Dvalishvili enters the rematch at 21-5.

For U.S. viewers, Paramount+ confirms the main card starts at 2 p.m. Eastern, or 11 a.m. Pacific, on October 24.

Early prelims begin at 10 a.m. Eastern, followed by the preliminary card at noon. Paramount+ says the entire event is included with a subscription.

The broadcaster also explicitly says UFC 333 will have no CBS simulcast and no separate pay-per-view charge. That clarification matters when planning how to watch.

Beyond the championship bouts, the main card includes flyweights Lone’er Kavanagh and Ramazan Temirov, followed elsewhere on the lineup by heavyweights Alexander Volkov and Rizvan Kuniev.

Aaron Pico and Losene Keita also meet at featherweight. Those matchups give the five-fight main card representation across four weight classes, including both title divisions.

Ceremonial weigh-ins are scheduled for October 23 at 10 a.m. Eastern, according to the Forbes preview. The fight card remains subject to change.
