His best year was 2019, when he reached the final of the Montevideo Challenger tournament but lost to Thiago Monteiro. He also played in one Davis Cup singles match for Argentina against Colombia.

In 2020, he beat Marcelo in Concepción, Chile, to win his first Challenger title. Tomas Barrios Vera won the final. He also got to the final of a Challenger in Lima, Peru, but lost to Juan Pablo Varillas. By the end of the year, he had moved up in the rankings to No. 152.

He won two more Challenger titles in Santiago, Chile and Lima, Peru, in 2021 by beating Alejandro Tabilo and Facundo Bagnis.

In addition, he made it to the main draw of his first Grand Slam, the French Open, where he beat former top-15 player Aslan Karatsev in a five-set match that lasted for over four hours.
