Siraj made his first-class debut for Hyderabad in the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy and took 41 wickets in nine matches at an average of 18.92. He was the third-highest wicket-taker in the tournament and caught the attention of the IPL scouts.
He played for Sunrisers Hyderabad for two seasons before being traded to Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2018. He has been a key member of the RCB bowling attack since then and has taken 49 wickets in 47 matches at an economy rate of 8.68.
He made his international debut for India in a Twenty20 International (T20I) against New Zealand on November 4, 2017. He took one wicket in his first match but conceded 53 runs in four overs. He improved his performance in the next two matches and took four wickets in total.
He made his One Day International (ODI) debut against Australia on January 12, 2019. He took one wicket in his first match but conceded 76 runs in 10 overs. He played two more ODIs against Australia and New Zealand but did not impress much.
