About Sungjae Im
In 2015, Im became a professional golfer. He competed on the Japan Golf Tour throughout 2016 and 2017, with his best finish being joint runner-up in the 2017 Mynavi ABC Championship.
He finished 12th in the money list and 5th in the scoring average on the circuit in 2017. Im ended the regular season with a win in the WinCo Foods Portland Open after finishing second in the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic, Knoxville Open, and Pinnacle Bank Championship.
Im was named PGA Tour Rookie of the Year for the 2018–19 season. In the FedEx Cup era, he was only the 13th rookie to qualify for the Tour Championship and finished 19th in the standings.
