Dallas Mavericks

The swingman is primed to end a one-game absence Friday due to a hip injury. Christie had been starting at shooting guard for the Mavericks before getting hurt, but it remains to be seen if 2024 No. 1 overall pick Zaccharie Risacher has played well enough to keep his hold on a starting job.

De Larrea continues to miss time with a right knee strain, and it's not clear at this time where he's at in his rehab. He can be considered week-to-week until further notice.

Aldama has missed the first eight games of the season while recovering from right knee surgery in March. Getting upgraded to probable is a good sign the former Grizzlies forward will be ready to make his Mavericks debut at home against Utah. Aldama will likely begin the campaign on a minutes restriction, but his return probably means less minutes for Zaccharie Risacher and Morez Johnson Jr.

Biberovic has been battling inflammation in his right heel, preventing him from making his NBA debut. While the rookie should be considered week-to-week, he likely has a way to go before earning a meaningful role in Dallas even when he's cleared to suit up.

Although there haven't been any negative reports regarding Lively's rehab progress, it doesn't appear he will be back in the lineup anytime soon. For now, the 22-year-old should be considered week-to-week. While Lively remains on the shelf, Daniel Gafford and Moussa Cisse should continue to handle most of the work at the five. Santi Aldama (knee) might also get involved in that area once he's cleared to return.
